A boat is a singularly uncommon place to age bourbon, but inspiration struck Trey on the deck of his friend’s ship. While watching Jefferson’s bourbon rock gently in its bottle, he wondered what would happen to bourbon aged on the bow of a ship. The rest, as they say, is history. The constant movement of the ocean and extreme temperature fluctuations as the ship traversed the sea completely transformed the whiskey. The result is a hyper-aged, darker, richer and caramelized bourbon with incredible depth and complexity.
