Old Fashioned
The old fashioned has roots going back to the early 1800s, where it was simply called a cocktail. That makes it almost as old as bourbon itself. Back then, “cocktail” simply meant a spirit mixed with sugar, water, and bitters.
We love this classic cocktail for its simplicity and elegance that allows you to savor your favorite bourbon.

Bourbon is the centerpiece of an old fashioned. Jefferson’s Bourbon, known for its rich notes of brown sugar, toffee, and a hint of citrus, has a smooth finish that complements the sweetness of the sugar and the spiciness of the bitters.
Dissolving the sugar properly in the water and bitters ensures the base of your cocktail is smooth, without grainy textures. Stir the mixture gently to combine the ingredients without over-diluting the drink. The final touch, expressing an orange peel over the glass, adds citrus notes that deepen the bourbon’s complexity.
